Comenius programme

The Comenius programme named in honor of great Czech educator John Amos Comenius and was launched up in 1995. The Comenius is a European Union educational project. It concerns school-level education and aims to help young people and educational staff better understand the range of European cultures, languages and values.

In the programme can participate tutors, students and teachers of primary educational institutions, general, professional and technical secondary schools, as well as future teachers.

Comenius was set up by European Union. The goal of the program is to organize teamwork and experience exchange of students and teachers from different EU countries.

Project Objectives:

• to help students and teachers improve their knowledge of European culture, languages and standards
  
• to encourage transnational cultural cooperation
  
• to form a readiness of the young generation for lifelong learning
  
• to develop skills of the effective use of information.

Project GREEN BUSINESS

Since August, 2012 our school became a partner of the international project GREEN BUSINESS, which is realized as a part of the programme Comenius.

The children of the 9th and 11th forms take part in the project.

On November 16 - 19 our school hosted the leaders of the project. Our children presented our school, gave a tour around the school, and took part in a trip to the bakery "Lači". At this meeting the goals of the work were determined for the period until April 2013.

From 8 to 12 April our team participated in the second meeting of partners, which took place in Mo-i-Rana town (Norway).
